Calling All YASBIZ Creators, Sellers & Explorers: CHDI Mini-Marketplace

YASBIZ at CHDI: Mini-Marketplace & Creative Experience

Current and former YASBIZ participants are invited to join us at CHDI (The Child Health and Development Institute) for a two-hour Mini-Marketplace and creative experience in Farmington.

Whether you already have something to sell, want to explore your creativity, are thinking about starting something of your own, or simply want to come be part of the experience, you are welcome.

Want to sell?

YASBIZ participants who have artwork, products, crafts, or other original items can register as vendors and sell directly to CHDI staff.

Artwork, prints, photography, ceramics, planters, totes, notebooks, cards, stickers, magnets, keychains and handmade products are just a few possibilities. Your creativity can take you in any direction.

Selling at the Mini-Marketplace gives participants real-world experience with:

• Preparing products for customers

• Setting prices and creating a display

• Talking with customers about their work

• Handling sales and making change

• Building confidence as an entrepreneur

Not selling? Come anyway.

You do not need to have a business or a product to sell in order to participate.

Current and former YASBIZ participants are welcome to come experience the Marketplace, meet other participants, connect with CHDI staff and see what other YASBIZ entrepreneurs are creating.

We will also have an Exploratory Creative Arts Room (Work & Progress) where participants can create, experiment with materials, try something new or simply explore their interests.

What is happening at CHDI?

During the event, CHDI staff will have the opportunity to shop from YASBIZ vendors, meet participants, learn more about what they are creating and connect with the YASBIZ community.

Advisors and staff are also encouraged to attend, support participants and experience the Marketplace firsthand.

When registering, choose the option that best describes how you would like to participate:

• Vendor - I plan to sell something at the Marketplace

• Non-Vending Attendee - I want to attend, explore, create or simply be part of the experience

• Advisor/Staff - I am attending to support participants and experience the Marketplace

• CHDI Staff Lunch Request - I am a CHDI employee planning to join us for lunch during the event

NOTES:

• Registered vendors will need to fill out an additional form letting SSV know of their needs and product info. They will receive additional information about their setup, displays and preparing for the Marketplace.

• Registration is free for YASBIZ young adults, vendors, Advisors, and staff.

• Lunch will be provided for all registered participants.

• Registered YASBIZ young adults will receive marketplace supplies and a participation incentive.
